Digital Manager

Position: Major Tasks

1) Understand the Vascular marketplace; patient flows and leverage points

2) Development and implementation of the strategic and operational brand plans for Vascular protection to support the overall brand strategy and achieve sales targets within defined budget

3) Manage execution of the indication's brand plan, ensuring it is appropriately resourced

4) Manage external agency to develop adapted global campaigns for UK market place and ensure sales force is briefed to effectively implement campaigns

5) Lead the cross functional team for the Vascular indications to develop and implement the indication specific Xarelto strategic and operational plans

6) Manage the promotional budget of > £3.2 Million

7) Support the marketing manager in the strategic planning process to define longer term strategic roadmap for the anti-coagulation franchise in the UK

8) Forecasting and phasing of budget and sales targets for the vascular indication

 

Position: Skills

Business related or life sciences degree, with over 5 years experience in a related sales or marketing function, with at least 3 years in a marketing role being ideal.

Experience in anti-coagulation or the cardiovascular field of medicine is ideal

Strong interpersonal skill and the ability to convey complex topics in succinct presentations

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:


  • Act as local product owner for My Pet and I ("Pet Owner Portal") consumer website, including liaising with development and creative agencies to bring to functionality to life
  • Execute SEO content development across the key consumer website to ensure a strong position on Google. Work with veterinary technical and marketing team to ensure that content is compliant from regulatory, legal and data privacy standpoints.
  • Management of main website Content Management Systems, including ownership of the content workflow
  • Act as local product owner for the Bayer Vet Centre. Within this role you will be part of the core Vet Portal team working with the global digital team and network of agencies to shape and maintain the global Vet Portal master site, whilst making sure that UK requirements are well represented
  • Oversees digital media booking (via media agency) and ensures in-campaign optimisation across all UK consumer brands
  • Works hand in hand with local marketing team to ensure alignment on any campaigns across digital channels
  • Monitor performance and share reports and key learnings with marketing and retail colleagues
  • Champion digital internally, ensuring the wider team understand the role of digital in achieving their brands objectives
  • Forecast and manage the P&I spend for relevant product supporting digital projects utilising internal processes to ensure that P&I is utilised efficiently and on budget
  • Reinvigorate and manage social strategy, including (but not limited to) Facebook & Instagram
  • Develop and manage the YouTube strategy, including integrating all existing live YouTube channels into dedicated consumer and vet channels
  • Champion new technologies & innovation, e.g. consider voice as a medium for communicating with customers

Who you are:


  • Comprehensive understanding of the digital ecosystem and how web, mobile, search and digital media (SEA, VOD, display, social etc) work together to optimize customer behaviour and move consumers closer to purchase
  • Familiarity with the following digital platforms, and the ability to work in a hands-on capacity:
  • Drupal CMS
  • JIRA project management
  • Google analytics
  • Facebook and Instagram for Business (as required to support key professional customers) o Some experience of video & image editing would be beneficial
  • Strong communication skills, delivered through presentation, written and verbally
  • Must be a team player with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Understanding of fundamentals of marketing including campaign development and capacity to work closely with brand management team
  • Knowledge and understanding of customers mind-set and how they evolve with new digital technologies
  • Proven ability to manage and overcome complexity in the role, including demonstrable agile project management skills and experience
  • Analytical skills with an ability to convey complex results and trends to colleagues in a clear and timely manner
  • Fully proficient with Microsoft Office
