Brewin Dolphin are seeking a contract Solution Architect to work on a Back-Office office replacement programme. The Architect will operate across a number of Programme workstreams alongside Project Managers, Business Analysts, Integration Engineers and members of the IT Architecture team to ensure solutions delivered through the project are fit for purpose and architecturally compliant
The following list sets out the principle activities of the role.
Participate in technical review of all specifications produced by project Business Analysts.
Collaborate with Architects and Integration Engineers to produce solution designs.
Co-ordinate Programme solution review through Brewin Dolphin’s Design Authority Group.
Ongoing management and maintenance of the Programme’s application architecture.
Review change requests and assessing impact against the application architecture.
Assist in the documentation of technology solutions.
Sit on the Programme’s Business Architecture Forum.
Assist Business Analysts in producing materials for the Business Architecture Forum.
An understanding of Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and Zachman would be useful but not essential
5 years’ experience of Solution Architecture and prior to this practical experience of software development and/or third-line operational support
Experience on large projects involving Enterprise application data integration
Experience in creating designs at all levels of abstraction and working with teams to implement
At least 2 years’ experience of IT in the Financial Services sector
Exposure to software in the any of the following areas: Wealth Management, CRM, Online
Excellent communication (written and oral); the role requires the ability to influence senior managers, project teams and suppliers
This is a highly collaborative role suited to strong team players
A strong knowledge of programme and project delivery
