The Brand Marketing Manager will be part of eBay’s Brand Marketing team in Germany, responsible for the development and execution of a set of eBay’s brand marketing work. You will drive the development and execution of activations and campaigns as part of eBay’s ‘Always On’ integrated brand campaign strategy.
The role will work closely with the broader German eBay Brand Marketing Team and eBay’s creative agency partners and will report into eBay’s Head of Brand & Social for Germany. A key goal for the role will be to drive consistency in eBay’s messaging and how eBay is showing up as a brand whilst developing bold and cut-through creatives adapted to eBay’s key target audiences.
Through a collaborative working approach, this role will work in cross-functional teams to deliver brand marketing briefs and campaigns, ensuring eBay is top of mind for the German consumer. Driving creative excellence for eBay’s brand campaigns, you will be working across the full marketing mix. All with the goal of making relevant target audiences understand what eBay stands for and who eBay is.
Crafting consumer insight-driven briefs and working closely with agency partners to deliver bold, distinctive and coherent creative brand campaign concepts and assets with a ‘Customer First’ mentality
Working with media strategy to align creative and media plans to maximise return on investment and innovation
Working closely with the broader Brand team as well as Social, PR, Retail, Onsite, Content and Trading Teams to ensure maximum integration and creating a connected experience for our customers
Driving brand campaign measurement and findings with the goal to consistently optimize for creative excellence and improvements in campaign performance
Balancing local nuances whilst leaning into global brand guidelines
Chipping in to continuous efficient brand budget management
Completed university studies – preferably in the field of Marketing / Communications
Demonstrated ability in the creation and implementation of brand campaigns and activations that drive brand consideration, return on investment and outstanding creative - ideally on both the agency and corporate side and with a focus on the retail, consumer goods, tech and/or internet sectors
Experience of briefing in and managing projects across internal departments and external agencies
A highly creative, solution-focused approach with a ‘can-do attitude’
Phenomenal teammate with a passion to work collaboratively and experience in working in cross-functional teams
Experience of working in a fast-paced business environment
Passion for Retail as well as for the eBay brand
Excellent written and spoken German and English
