About the team:

In eBay Payments, you will be an integral member of a growing organization that inspires passion, courage and inventiveness - creating the future of global commerce and making an important, positive impact on millions of eBay sellers and shoppers around the world. You will be part of the Payments Finance team, working on one of the key initiatives in eBay, responsible for financial budgeting, forecasting and analysis. In this role you will work closely with the Payments Business Unit, Controllership, Corp Finance and other Finance teams.

  • Financial Planning, Forecasting, Budgeting, Financial Analysis, Expense and Capital Management for the Payments organization.

  • Be a trusted and relevant business partner for the Payments Business that helps guide decisions and resource allocations by providing a clear understanding of the “ROI” of investments and business decisions: ability to challenge based on trends and variance analysis

  • Own the monthly close and reporting process for expenses and headcount for Payments Business and cross-functional teams monthly financial close, journal entries, accurate financial reporting of expenses, and managing the headcount targets

  • Provide monthly reports comparing actual trends against budget and forecast assumptions for each budget owner

  • Understand accounting policies and accurate financial reporting/forecasting

  • Work closely with Controllership team to monitor compliance with GAAP, ensure that the relevant financial control processes are used and appropriate audit trail maintained at all times

Experience and qualifications required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance

  • At least 3 years experiences in FP&A with business partnering experiences, with 2+ years in headcount, forecast, budget, close, and accrual.

  • Having knowledge of financial systems such as SAP BPC, SAP BW, Workday, Ariba, etc. is a plus

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to partner effectively with teams across the organization

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage tight timelines, willingness to work late hours during close and forecast cycle

  • The ideal candidate will have outstanding technical skills with spreadsheets, a solid understanding of basic accounting principles (debits and credits, accruals, journal entries, etc.), and demonstrated financial analysis capabilities
