The Head of Customer Marketing Product Analytics will lead the analytics team supporting the
marketing product teams at eBay, aiming at improving the customer experiences with eBay
communications across touch points. The overarching directive is to have an in depth, data-driven
understanding of the customer behaviors, transform these insights into measurable recommendations
to help the product teams drive decision making, as well as identify novel strategic
opportunities. The responsibilities also encompass the ownership of experimentation analytics
from the adequacy of test design to the relevance of test measurements, enabling a strong
decision process. Given the global, highly matrixed nature of eBay, cross-functional
collaboration across teams like Analytics, Product, Operations, Finance and Strategy is also
critical for achieving global alignment, scale and success.
To be successful in this role, you will:
Develop a mandate for the team and push own vision, encouraging analytics innovation and process perfection.
Lead, mentor and develop team members across multiple locations.
Work with business and product partners to scope analysis to answer key business questions – challenge their thinking and become a trusted business partner. Help the business prioritize analytical results and manage their expectations.
Have a hands-on approach in bringing data insights to seek business challenges
Be a teammate with a bias for action and passion for continual learning and improvement.
Thrive in a large-organization, matrix environment with global responsibilities and multiple partners (Switzerland, Shanghai, Prague, San Jose, Seattle).
Communicate optimally in English (written, verbal and presentation) and up-level analytical answers into stories that are easily consumable by an executive audience.
Master's Degree in a quantitative subject area such as Econometrics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering.
7 years of proven experience in analytics.
People management experience of at least 5 years.
Excellent command of SQL, R or Python.
