eCG seeks an experienced and motivated Information Security Analyst with a proven interest in information security to join our Information Security team as a contractor. Our new colleague will be responsible for security monitoring automation and detection technology development for eCG’s global online presence. So join us!
The ideal candidate will be engaged in a wide variety of information security related tasks, including:
Monitoring eCG site environments for anomalous events and responding to events in a timely and brand protecting manner including reviewing and analyzing security log data to identify applicability and false positives.
Designing and implementing new tactical applications and tools for the team to support incident response and vulnerability management functions.
Researching and testing cutting edge monitoring, detection and response technologies aligning with our strategic goals. This includes developing testing tools, techniques, and process improvements.
Defining, managing and executing security monitoring and response related projects that align with team and organizational goals and "own the business" processes.
Collaborating with numerous global teams, including those responsible for Network Security, Networking, Policy and Compliance, Legal and Regulatory, Privacy, Site Architects/Operations, Business Leadership, Product Development and others on a regular basis to bring speedy resolution to security related issues that affect eBay Corporate or Business assets.
Having an interest in challenging existing technologies, tools, processes and procedures in an effort to constantly improve upon the threat response life-cycle and to design and modify test frameworks as the need arises!
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
Strong experience in DevOps and agile working practices
Strong system administration skills in both bare metal and cloud environments. Scripting in Perl or Python a plus. Knowledge of Enterprise Code Deployment Pipelines a requirement.
Experience in working in a professional environment involving highly available, global applications and site-critical functions
Experience in following areas: Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technologies, Unix/Linux/Windows system administration, CI/CD, Jenkins, Static and Dynamic Code Analysis
Demonstrate an interest and knowledge of security trends, malware landscape, threat mitigation techniques, and monitoring technologies
Solid understanding of common web application vulnerabilities, including ability to perform testing, validation and support the development of mitigating solutions
Certifications considered a plus: CISSP, CISA, CISM, EnCE, GCFA Security
