We’re looking for a Payment Network Compliance Manager to build on our product expertise on payment services. You will work closely with Product, Risk and Operations teams to ensure we are aligning with card scheme and payment network rules and requirements while keeping up to date with any changes.
Understanding payment network (e.g. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, NACHA, SEPA, BACS and alternative forms of payment) rules and regulations, bulletins and changes, translating them into understandable requirements.
Communicating with the business to understand scheme requirements to existing/new products and supporting their implementation.
Understanding compliance requirements which arise from third-parties, including advising on any changes to our policies, procedures and controls through validation and implementation
Working closely with cross functional teams to address any differences in payment partner policies and procedures and regional requirements
Working closely with the product teams to build a product that delivers a great user experience while also ensuring we meet payment network and payment partner requirements and deliver good outcomes for customers/markets
Keeping abreast of compliance developments and evaluating the payment networks and scheme compliance regulations and industry compliance trends
Liaising with key internal (e.g. Legal, Risk, Product etc) and external (e.g. schemes, vendors, partners etc) stakeholders as required
Minimum 5 years’ experience in merchant acquiring, with a technical understanding of card schemes and other payment networks globally
Understanding of payment flows credit card, alternate payments, bank transfers. Understanding of different types of Merchant and Consumer Risk.
E-Commerce merchant acquiring and / or experience with online marketplaces
Comfortable drafting internal compliance policies and communicating same to cross functional teams
Strong communication and relationship building skills
Project management skills; outstanding organizational skills.
Capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines; self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity
Outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills
5+ years payments compliance experience with a card scheme, global acquirer, payment processor or e-commerce merchant / marketplace
Financial services / banking background
Payments risk management background
