Product Analyst Intern/R Shiny app focus

The role:

  • As a working student, you will be contributing to a Global Project, which is driven by our Global Product Analytics team and aims to translate an advanced Predictive Modelling Methodology into a user-friendly web application.

  • Your main task will be to get a good understanding of what this Methodology entails and develop a Shiny app, best suited to meet the needs of its analytics and business end-users,

  • You will work closely with our analysts and will build up a lot of hands-on experience in R programming and more specifically in Shiny app development and, if time permits, deployment on Google Cloud Platform.

  • The resulting app will be part of our Central Self Service Tooling repository, targeted to support the business needs of Central and Local teams alike, by allowing them to use complex forecasting techniques via an interface that doesn’t require programming skills.

Requirements:

  • You are an ambitious and driven student who would love the idea of developing a large-scale analytics application and has an appetite for data.

  • You are in your third (or higher) year of your university studies in a field such as econometrics, economics, mathematics, computer science, physics, or any other quantitative field.

  • Candidates with R programming skills and familiarity with the Shiny framework are strongly preferred.

  • Pro-activeness and willingness to develop your programming and data analysis/science skills.

  • Good at understanding and addressing our stakeholder’s needs, for a variety of use cases.

  • Interested in classifieds with preferably user experience on Marktplaats or another classifieds' website.
