The role

To improve our Product Experience Team, covering product design and user experience, we are looking for a senior product design leader to join us. Do you want to help us transform our team and our user product experience?

The objectivesTransform the user experience
  • Support development of innovative new business models.

  • Improve experiences for customers with high-quality design, including ownership of all user facing interaction points.

  • Drive design standardisation across the organisation, creating design guidelines and reviews with training for your team, for product squads and mentorship for the wider business.

Transform the team and the business
  • Represent design & user experience at the top level of the organisation.

  • Spread design by crafting a common language and set of practices for the whole organisation.

  • Develop team skills through learning and discussion of good practice from across Denmark, eCG and the outside market.

  • Cultivate our strong design community in Product & Technology and across the business through the regular town halls, show and tells etc.

  • Build the team, through recruitment, establishing relationships with local universities and encouraging engagement with local, national and international events.

  • Represent the brand at events and in the press.

Your Profile & ExperienceProfessional Experience
  • Extensive design experience (10+ years) in design-led organisations or agencies.

  • 5+ years’ experience in positions of design leadership with proven track record.

  • Experience of delivering & leading major product improvements, such as branding, new product lines or business model overhauls.

Educational Experience
  • No formal education requirements, relevant practical experience is needed.

  • Commercial Understanding - Capable of crafting comprehensive metrics systems across multiple products, consumer journeys and teams. Ability to link design and commercial metrics and convey insights to peers.

  • Leadership and community building - Ability to build and manage a diverse team of multiple fields and spread across multiple product teams. Ability to forge strong sense of connection between Product Experience and other departments.

  • General management - Comfortable with the basics of running a large department (e.g. hiring & performance management, facilitating prioritisation and allocation, budgeting).

  • Compelling communication skills - Aptitude for convincing partners (internal and external) of the value of an idea.

  • Proven design talent - Strong portfolio, especially evidence of team leadership over personal contribution.

  • Command of industry standard design tools (e.g. Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, Zeplin, Hotjar, etc.) and experience conducting user research and user testing.
