About the team:
We are looking for a Project Manager to join the Emerging Threats Incident Management team that will be responsible for the monitoring, alerting, emerging threat identification and incident response process for all core risk metrics and workflows and act as the single point of contact for risk customer concerns. During unexpected risk events the Emerging Threats team is responsible for quickly assessing business, customer and system impact and determining mitigation options.
The successful candidate should be a quick learner and offer a strategic perspective, sound business judgment, deep analytical capabilities, and a collaborative working style. They should possess strong intellectual curiosity, skills in problem definition, thorough analysis, and recommendation development as well as prior experience in Project Management or Incident Management.
This team provides 24x7x365 monitoring of Risk metrics and requires rotating weekend shifts (typically 2 weekend days per month) and occasional holiday coverage.
Incident Coordination - manage all high severity incidents from inception to resolution, ensuring quick and correct assessment of the issue, including identifying the impact to a specific Business Unit, Owner(s) and engaging the appropriate resolver group.
Provide prompt periodic progress updates to the appropriate parties until detection of the root cause and issue closure.
Provide input into the Incident Management Process, further defining the process flow, documenting expectations and assist in training and guiding impacted parties to adhere to the process.
Update and maintain documentation associated with processes and procedures (playbooks).
Mentor and develop Emerging Threat team in the Incident Management process area.
Support the troubleshooting of major issues with core risk metrics.
Coordinate efforts to identify root cause and recommend solutions.
Coordinate resolution efforts and ensure appropriate resolution paths across multiple partner teams.
Conduct Postmortem reviews of major incidents with associated teams involved in each incident with the goal of continuous improvement.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to own and manage multiple incidents simultaneously, lead a cooperative effort among members of a team to react to an incident and resolve to business satisfaction.
Experience and knowledge of the incident management principles and methodologies, specializing in medium/large-scale organizational incident processes.
Proactively seeks out new and up-to-date information which can be applied to the incident manager role and incident process.
Proactively manage the resolution of major incidents in a timely manner, ensuring minimal business impact, and initiate customer concern procedure as appropriate.
Effectively communicates status of major incidents to the appropriate partners.
Ability to perform on call duties as needed/scheduled.
Understanding of risk management in multiple areas: Fraud Risk (account take over, stolen financials), Credit Risk (Bank Payments), Buyer Risk, Seller Risk, abuse, collusion risk, etc.
Proficiency in SQL, Excel, solid understanding of database concepts and practical experience with analytic tools (Tableau, Elasticsearch, Grafana or Python).
3+ years of experience in risk management, incident management, project management, or related field.
