About the Team

We are looking for an exceptional, digital-savvy, strategic and creative communications professional that, in line with business objectives, will produce and manage informational, educational and inspiring content across all seller engagement channels

As part of the Community & Engagement team, the Seller Engagement Content Manager is responsible for developing and optimizing marketing content, driving seller engagement and reporting on performance.

Marketing content focuses on educating business sellers how to use various eBay tools and features and increasing adoption of those tools, as well as informing and explaining other changes to the marketplace.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Content Creation

  • Develop editorial plans and project manage the production and distribution of content across all seller engagement channels (events, social, community, podcast, landing pages and newsletter)

  • Create promotional & marketing materials for all seller engagement channels to help raise awareness and adoption of all channels

  • Manage executive communications content creation including slides and talking points for seller-facing events

  • Manage relevant vendors and partner relationships to help develop and execute content across internal and external channels

  • Guide content through eBay approval processes involving multiple partners

Planning, Support and Management

  • Foster, manage and maintain close relationships with Content Managers, Product and Product Marketing Managers, Seller School Content Manager, Executive Communications Managers, Business Managers, Product and Legal.

  • Manage competing needs and be sensitive to the various areas of the business.

  • Use analytics insights to report on the effectiveness of content created and to improve content and marketing performance.

  • Support in strategy development with the wider marketing team.

  • Understand and implement eBay tone of voice, branding guidelines and product marketing messaging frameworks; follow industry and standard methodology writing guidelines.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience.

  • Degree or significant experience in a relevant field: journalism, languages, communications, multimedia or marketing.

  • Experience briefing and working with marketing agencies and video production teams.

  • Ability to translate strategic priorities into effective campaigns or content with relative autonomy and efficiency

  • Solid understanding of how to use multimedia content to engage and educate

  • Ability to work independently and proactively contribute to the wider global content team.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally to source news, product updates, seller stories and more

  • Approachable, collaborative, determined and creative problem-solving mindset.

  • Preferable proven project management skills.

  • Willing to take ownership and make sure things get done.

  • Flexible and able to adapt to the various styles of co-workers and executives as well as to changing deadlines.

  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.

  • Excellent organization and time management skills.

  • Ensure consistency and high-quality content.
