Senior Recruiter (12 months FTC)

The Recruitment function is fast-paced, highly motivated team of professionals passionate about bringing in the highest level of talent to help drive the business forward while delivering an outstanding candidate experience. The Senior Recruiter will act as a strategic talent advisor partnering with our eBay Classifieds business on the end to end hiring process. The role provides an opportunity to influence the talent landscape of eBay Classifieds Group.

Responsibilities

  • Engage and partner with the hiring managers to understand requirements, complete the talent request briefing/Intake session setting realistic expectations and education on the end to end hiring process.

  • Lead the end to end hiring activities, delivering an efficient and effective service to all involved in the hiring process for FTE and Fixed Term roles. Given the time zone, this role will also be responsible for managing the scheduling and coordination of all interviews.

  • Mentorship and guide hiring manager on Recruitment related policies, processes, and interview skills.

  • Generate candidate flow for all open requisitions utilizing the most effective and cost-efficient methods available consisting of direct advertising, preparing job postings, updating Internet sites, and selecting recruitment agency usage.

  • Screen and refer qualified applicants to hiring managers for interviewing.

  • Prepare, present, and negotiate job offers in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with eBay compensation and benefits guidelines.

  • Manage and actively participate in Recruitment related projects of varying complexity, importance, and priority

  • Contribute to the development of the annual Recruitment planning, budgeting, and strategy development.

  • Represent the Recruitment team positively in relationships and communication with the Human Resource Strategic Partner’s (HRBP’s), MyHR, Centres of Expertise (COE’s), business leaders and with other Recruitment team members.

  • Regularly promote all vacant roles in AU to drive local referrals.

  • Support in the management and relationships with key agency partners for specialist roles.

  • Build a pipeline of future talent for critical roles.

  • Support the Market Labour Testing process for sponsored roles in Australia.

  • Support other Talent Acquisition or local HR projects as required.

  • Support the design, development & implementation of a graduate program in Australia.

  • Consistently look at ways to streamline and improve our candidate experience and recruitment process

Key Projects

  • Manager the development and role out of recruitment training for all hiring Managers in Australia.

  • Support the development and role out of EVP in the AU market, in line with eCG.

  • Managing updating of all job boards for our three brands (Linked In) etc.

  • Review of all agencies in AU to ensure terms are in place and they are onboarded into Work Day.

  • Review and update job add templates with revised company messaging.

  • Support Hiring Managers to ensure all job descriptions are updated, and saved in employee files or come up with a new way for local HR and Managers to access. This is quite a challenge in AU.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience in selection, interviewing and recruitment (technical, managerial, and senior level) preferably within an online/e-commerce environment.

  • Preferably demonstrated recruitment experience in the Technology space

  • Ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organisation and externally with candidates and vendors

  • Proven internet sourcing experience

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and social skills

  • Ability to “sell” eBay eCG to potential employees

  • Ability to prioritize simultaneously and work independently

  • Resilient and self-confident with the ability to think on your feet while under pressure.
