Senior Tech. Analyst - Data (m/f/d)

Primary Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced data professional to join our technology team in Customer Service Technology (CS Tech). The position is an individual contributor

This individual will be responsible for the following:
  • Be a lead on data and reporting projects (product manager/BSA)
  • Gather business requirements and translate them to technical requirements
  • Manage relationships with senior leaders and their teams within the organisations we support
  • Apply agile project management to projects
  • Be able to execute on as much of the projects as possible (hands on SQL/ETL/BI experience)
  • Analytical skills (ability to interpret and explain data to senior stakeholders) an advantage
  • Work in a fast paced global environment
  • Engage with stakeholders within the team to create a variety of data solutions such as dashboards
  • Manage a complex ETL environment across multiple database technologies
  • Manage a complex BI environment across multiple BI technologies
  • Be a cultural fit for eBay
Preferred Skills / Experience:
  • 7+ years of SQL and data modelling experience (Hadoop and Oracle preferred)
  • 7+ years working in a data/reporting team
  • 5+ years leading data/reporting projects
  • 5+ years working with BI tools such as Tableau and Microstrategy
  • 3+ years of ETL experience in data warehouse technologies (Hadoop and Oracle preferred)
  • 3+ years experience in project management practices (agile)
  • Communication skills, interpersonal skills, and presentation skills that allow effective interactions with business partners, stakeholders, and senior leadership
  • Experience with contact centre data and metrics preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Fluent English speaker
