We’re looking for a talented developer to help us build the next generation of messaging at eBay, impacting millions of people and billions of messages each year. We want to modernize the messaging platform while focusing on engineering excellence to enable us to do continuous release, deployment and build commit to release pipeline.

We are looking for hardworking, highly motivated, hands-on engineers who lead by example and embody engineering excellence, who can help us deliver on vision of continuous deployment while ensuring site reliability, quality etc.

  • You will be responsible for contributing and improving the way we develop and operate our platform and services.

  • Own the automation, improvement and adoption of the deployment services and pipeline

  • Improve site reliability by coaching, setting best practices for teams

  • Deep subject matter expertise of concepts, products and technologies in one or more e-commerce domains with the ability to apply the expertise to set technical direction and drive improvements to our products.


  • BS/MS in Computer Science in related discipline

  • 10+ years of experience

  • Strong Developer - write production quality code

  • 5+ years of experience with deploying and scaling applications on public cloud platforms

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience building enterprise grade CI/CD pipelines

  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to autonomously lead multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced, iterative development environment with short turnaround times.

  • Self-motivated, passionate for technology, and strong driver for results and continual improvement.

Team player - work well independently and in a multi-group cross-discipline environment
