Marketing Analyst

As Marketing Analyst you will have the opportunity to put your analytical skills to work focusing on the measurement, analysis, and reporting of digital data to optimize the company's digital properties and platforms. Working alongside specialist digital specialists, you will work collaboratively to develop detailed analysis, reporting and insight for the various teams within our Marketing and Communications department. Your work will be key in generating recommendations for initiatives that are critical to the formulation and achievement of impactful marketing objectives.

 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the business to design and implement KPIs and success factors to demonstrate Digital Marketing effectiveness, including identifying internal and external benchmarks and performance objectives for digital initiatives
  • Support monthly/quarterly digital marketing reviews, working with key stakeholders to review campaign activity and performance and drive discipline around a return on investment (ROI) mentality when deploying digital tactics
  • Utilise digital analytical tools to analyse and enhance use of core platforms; web/mobile content behaviour, heatmaps, paid media, social listening, voice of the customer surveys and A/B testing. This analysis will drive the business make better investment decisions in their digital assets and marketing initiatives
  • Be responsible for digital data collection, campaign tagging and co-ordination with agencies for campaign tagging and associated data collection
  • Conduct statistical analysis to provide actionable insights, identify trends, and measure performance of channels and brands including ROI response curves and optimal marketing mix
  • Develop dashboards/reporting systems enabling people to monitor results of data analyses answering needs of the business
  • Map user journeys and identify valuable audience segments identifying improving customer experience as well as targeting opportunities for marketing activities
  • Support our conversion-rate optimisation program through analysis, insight and strategic advice
  • “Always be testing” is the mantra of the team. You will evangelise the testing practice and support the teams by supporting meaningful execution and measurement of tests, becoming the “go-to” person for advice

Qualifications

  • BA/BSc in Computer Science, Maths, Physics, Engineering, Statistics or other technical field preferred

 

Experience in the following:

 

  • Digital marketing optimization or product optimization work i.e. funnel/website optimization and/or outbound channels like SEO, SEM, and email
  • Implementing analytical, data-driven decisions and communicating the results of analyses
  • Working knowledge of statistics
  • Adobe Analytics and/or Google Analytics

 

Additional skills

 

  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Experience with multi-channel attribution preferred but not essential
