M&A Senior Consultant with German language for Operations

Right now, we are looking for M&A Senior Consultant for Business Operations to join our EY GDS TSE team focused on providing strategic and operational services during merge and acquisition transactions for the biggest companies worldwide.

The opportunity

You will have an opportunity to develop your consulting expertise and gain experience from the big global organizations from UK, US or Germany. Additionally, you will learn the capital transactions aspects on global markets, which is a unique experience in Poland and is appreciated by large companies and start-ups.

We work on the most complex and high profile global transactions, across a broad portfolio of clients and industry sectors. We are a group of experienced industry professionals with a background in Business Operations and IT.

This team is not a "regular army" but "Navy SEALs" making real impact on our client's strategy and operational aspects.

Your key responsibilities
  • You will work in a transaction environment operating under tight M&A timeframes and demands, and be familiar working in a large-scale consulting environment or industry role.
  • You will be mostly responsible for transforming business operations and successfully delivering projects in the context of M&A transactions.

To qualify for the role, you must have
  • Specialisation in at least two of these areas:
    • Professional services / consulting;
    • Transactions: ideally due diligence, carve-out or integrations experience; or
    • Deep understanding of one or more core operational functions
    • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to link operational analysis to financial statements, and understand the implications of findings to client strategy
  • +6 years' of professional experience
  • Excellent written and verbal command of German and English (other European language will be a plus)
  • Good understanding of analytical tools (e.g. Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Readiness for travelling for business meetings across EU (approximately 30% annually after COVID)

Ideally, you'll also have
  • A track record of successful project delivery in corporate businesses where you are responsible for managing project team members and vendors
  • Experience in building strong working relationships with senior clients, including influence, advice and support to key decision makers
  • Merger & Acquisition transaction's experience
  • Already gained experience in international environment (especially with US and UK)
  • Writing skills and experience of producing high caliber reports, papers, presentations and thought leadership
