The opportunity

We are looking for a Manager within the Valuation Modelling & Economics (VME) team in our Perth office.

As a professional at EY you'll work across a variety of deals to develop your capabilities, and you will help clients find financial, strategic and operational solutions to improve liquidity, credit availability and returns to their stakeholders. Further, as a member of a multi-disciplinary, global team you will gain valuable experience across industries and geographies.

Your key responsibilities
  • In this role, you will manage assignments/engagements by ensuring that work products/services are client focused, clear, accurate and well presented in a timely manner as agreed with the client and team
  • You will actively keep abreast of current and emerging developments & service offerings and apply new knowledge and learning to client engagements and firm projects
  • You will provide guidance and expertise to team members and clients on technical issues/practices
Skills and attributes for success
  • A degree qualification in a related discipline such as Business, Finance, Economics
  • You will have demonstrated experience in managing the application of different valuation methodologies and techniques within a business valuation firm or in venture capital, investment banking, commercial banking, financial research or experience in a corporate finance role
  • Experience managing multiple projects coupled with strong report writing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills with the ability to build internal and external networks
  • Strong numerical and analytic skills including an advanced level of MS Excel and financial modelling skills are a must
  • You will have excellent time and project management skills with the ability to respond pro-actively to client requirements
Ideally, you'll also have
  • Successfully supervised, coached, and mentored juniors
