PAS has been targeted as an area of significant growth as clients increasingly require advice in building their people capabilities at a time when global demand for talent is at its highest. As well as attracting and retaining talent, clients are also looking at how they raise overall organisational performance through their entire workforce.

This means building their capabilities, processes and systems in workforce optimisation, inclusion, organisational development and culture.

The opportunity

Our Change and Organisation Design (OD) offering is one of our key growth areas within PAS, focusing on assisting clients build teams and organisations that are business-focused, cost-effective, and agile in meeting the needs of all their stakeholders.

EY's PAS team is a diverse group of expert practitioners who help clients keep pace with disruptive organisational trends, including agile workforce models, digital disruption and the opportunities brought by data analytics and workforce planning. They are a client facing team who have cross-sector experience reaching different employee groups across complex, global environments. Our OD and Change teams work on the most complex transformation programmes to deliver better outcomes and deliver long-lasting results. Our clients increasingly expect us to work with them to shape their strategy and operating model, and to complete discovery, design and the delivery of new organisation models in an agile way.

As a Senior Consultant you will play an integral role in supporting our big-name clients in the financial services sector. Your role will have a clear focus on Organisation Design and managing Change but offer flexibility to work across Workforce Advisory and the people agenda.

The majority of our clients are London-based; some occasional travel may be required.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant, you will work as part of a successful team to:
  • Support change management workstreams through the entire cycle of complex OD, Change or Transformation programmes, using waterfall, agile and other contemporary methodologies
  • Deploy strong project execution skills; be able to track timelines and can prioritise activity based on client and internal needs
  • Support the design and delivery of OD and Change projects by adapting technical methodology to the specific client context
  • Bring the power of technology - be able to complete quality data analysis and drive insights from organisational data to inform future solutions, using data analytics and workforce planning tools
  • Proactively manage stakeholder relationships to be able to build trusted relationships with clients
  • Develop our internal growth in the OD and Change practice and be a key player in building our own capabilities, for example through recruitment and developing methods and tools
  • Identify and build new opportunities by establishing and leveraging client relationships
  • Contribute to preparation of proposals and new business development activities for potential clients
  • Coach and provide learning opportunities for junior team members

To qualify for the role you must have
  • Strong core consulting skills and broad range of experience across OD or Change Management, gained through experience working in a professional services firm or global consultancy
  • Proven experience delivering quality outputs which drive value for clients across OD/Change, e.g., organisational assessment, capability mapping, organisational structure and design, organisational governance, role development and sizing
  • Ability to drive insights from data analysis and be able to visualise data to inform future decision making
  • Management consultant/OD professional with relevant experience advising clients on large-scale Change and/or OD programmes within large, complex organisations
  • Demonstrable ability to proactively build relationships and manage client stakeholders, including, providing robust advice, delivering difficult messages and managing performance issues
  • Experience of working in the Financial Services Sector

Ideally, you'll also have
  • Core Change Management expertise: including cost reduction, operational efficiencies
  • Proven experience of working on OD programmes/projects in a large and complex environment
  • Experience of delivering large-scale transformation programmes either as a consultant or in an industry/internal consultancy role
  • Banking and Insurance sector transformation: Experience delivering Change or OD to Insurance clients, utilising a deep understanding of sector-specific context to support clients deliver change
  • Relevant degree-level education
