Senior Manager - Holiday's Act Remediation

The opportunity

Do you have a desire to help organisations navigate challenging programmes of work and manage significant change? Enjoy solving complex problems and issues? Thrive on delivering great outcomes for organisations and teams. We are looking for a Manager within the Business Consulting Internal Audit team for our Auckland office.

Your key responsibilities
  • Lead large and complex Holidays Act remediation programmes by: identifying issues; working with management and their legal advisors to determine the most appropriate application of the law to their individual employees; overseeing large scale data analytics and modelling (with EY's global team); and undertaking training, communications, and change management
  • Be the key contact for clients in relation to Holidays Act remediation programmes and provide exceptional client service
  • Coach and mentor team members as part of delivering Holidays Act remediation programmes
  • Manage competing demands and priorities whilst delivering on overall programmes of work
  • Stay abreast of current business, legislative and economic developments relevant to the client's business
Skills and attributes for success
  • Experience in payroll processes and systems including understanding and application of the Holidays Act 2003
  • In depth experience in performing risk remediation programmes
  • Experience of managing multiple stakeholders across all levels or organisations.
  • Eye for detail and focus on accuracy
  • Proven project management skills and experience with the ability to effectively resource, lead and close out projects within time and budget
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritise within a fast-moving environment with multiple deadlines
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to understand and explain complex concepts in clear and simple terms
Ideally, you'll also have
  • A curious mind-set that is comfortable navigating through periods of ambiguity and change
  • The ability to apply critical-thinking and innovative techniques to data analysis and the delivery of work
