The Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) team is part of EY’s EMEIA Tax Center (ETC). The ETC is unique to EY: we are the only Big 4 professional services firm with a dedicated center of excellence focused on delivering exceptional client service across borders. Our 570+ talented ETC professionals are based in 21 countries across Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA), and work with clients across the area, regardless of our location or theirs. We provide specialist tax, business and technology expertise to address clients’ most pressing challenges in an exciting, dynamic tax and business environment, through a broad range of innovative service offerings.
The GCR team comprises over 225 dynamic professionals spread across 13 countries and more than 20 offices. We have specialist tax and finance skill sets spanning the areas of Indirect Tax, Service Management, Direct Tax Compliance & Reporting, Statutory Reporting, Finance BPO, Funds Tax Management, and Payroll. We focus on supporting our clients in managing their compliance and reporting requirements, centrally and locally, and delivering on their transformation agendas. Our indirect tax compliance professionals support large multinational clients with their indirect tax obligations in EMEIA our globally. Dealing with the indirect tax compliance requirements is the heart of the operations but this goes hand in hand with advisory and technology support which we provide or coordinate with our specialist teams. We apply a client centric approach meaning that our professionals are organized per client, and not per country or region, in order to maximize the knowledge of our client’s business.
Our IPT professionals provide pragmatic commercial help to insurers,
brokers and multinational policyholders so they can improve their day-to-day reporting for
indirect tax. They use their deep sector experience and knowledge of different legal and
regulatory systems around the world to help clients meet their compliance obligations as well as
achieve their business goals.
We are looking for a highly experienced manager to help drive the IPT practice forward and act as “IPT Controller” on multijurisdictional compliance engagements.
Your key responsibilities
We are looking for an enthusiastic manager with the ability to create, sustain and lead effective teams. You will ensure the delivery of quality work and take day to day management of delivery team. This includes helping people to develop through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring staff. You will contribute to people initiatives, including retaining and training international tax professionals. This comes with significant involvement in the management of the team both in terms of strategy and operations and also involves managing junior staff development and assignment.

To qualify for the role, you must have
Extensive European premium tax compliance experience.
Project management skills
Ability to build strong client relationships and commercial awareness
Effective time management skills; the ability to remain calm when under pressure to meet deadlines
Excellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oral
Ideally, you’ll also have
The ability to seek possible improvements to processes, technologies and methodologies (e.g. automation, analytics) and communicate the ideas with the team
Experience in managing both offshore and onshore teams to plan and deliver the entire compliance process
