We are looking for a Senior IT professional with at least fifteen years’ experience across more than one IT discipline. In this role you will lead global technology change across desktop and cloud SaaS. You will be expected to lead and inspire a diverse team of technology professionals in temporary structures from all disciplines in both infrastructure and software change. You will manage large scale, technically complex, globally strategic change and integration; acting as a role model and demonstrating active leadership and communication. In your role you will also need to be highly proactive rapidly establishing successful teams, establishing clear communications and organizations for optimal success while avoiding the pitfalls of getting caught in the detail. Delegation and management are key.
Your key responsibilities
You will likely spend most of your time working closely with portfolio managers, project managers, product managers and SMEs to delivery cutting edge End User technology Solutions into one of the world’s largest organizations.
You will master the challenges of a multidisciplinary team consisting of engineering, analysis, transition, test, project management and operations resources while managing interlocking dependencies with external programs and initiatives.
Skills and attributes for success
We are interested in people who have come from an engineering or programming background and have developed their career as a leader in IT in any discipline. As a successful candidate you will have real-world comprehension of the day-to-day challenges involved in design and delivery of IT change including ITIL (or similar) and the project discipline. You will have significant experience of stakeholder management, leadership of temporary teams, IT Operations, IT Finance, project and program management complimented with in-depth technology understanding. Ideally you will have worked with Microsoft O365 and End User Technologies.
To qualify for the role you must have
The ability to inspire teams to deliver using exceptional organizational skills.
Strong stakeholder management skills up to the most senior leadership level.
Prior experience managing major portfolios or programs
Direct experience of desktop or cloud technologies preferably in a technical role.
Significant experience managing vendors and third parties.
Ideally, you’ll also have
Demonstrable Project Management skills such as planning, risk management and financial management.
Exceptional communications skills and an ability to convey complex ideas clearly
Clear team leadership and team building experience.
