US/UK Private Client Services - Tax Manager - Open to Flexible Working


Our London based US Private Client Services (PCS) team combines US and UK domestic tax knowledge, delivering an integrated dual handler tax service offering to US clients.

 

We work with High Net Worth Individuals who are typically US citizen UK resident non-domiciled. We are part of the Financial Services practice and therefore have many clients in the Wealth and Asset Management sector, including fund managers in private equity and hedge funds (experience in this area is an advantage but not a requirement).

 

 

The Opportunity

 

We are now looking for a Manager to join the team in London.

 

Our services include a broad range of tax advice covering cross-border planning; estate and gift tax planning; tax efficient business structuring; expatriation advice; trusts; personal federal, state and local individual tax compliance.

 

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain tax relationships with clients and provide high levels of client service.
  • Own a client portfolio, being responsible for service delivery and technical sign off.
  • Contribute to winning new work and new clients, through growing a strong internal network and seeking out new opportunities.
  • Manage the successful delivery of tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and a practical/business driven approach.
  •  Review complex US and UK tax returns and assist with the delivery of compliance.
  • Responsible for day-to-day delivery of client liaison, signing off work appropriate at manager level.
  •  Assist with internal technical classroom training and drafting of position documents.
  • Develop a team of tax advisors and tax seniors, providing technical support and development and team leadership. 
  • Be responsible for monthly billing and financial reporting to senior leadership. Ensure monthly targets are met and work in progress in invoiced in a timely manner.
  • Bring a positive enthusiastic approach, playing a part in our management and leadership group as we develop our advisory offering.

To qualify for this role, you must have

  • Experience as a UK/US dual handling tax practitioner, preferably already at a manager grade or with at least 5 years’ experience.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • EA
  • ATT/CTA
