Fund Accounting Senior Analyst

About the Team

The Fund Administration team of FIS is a growing, fast-paced business unit within the capital markets division. As a Fund Accounting Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and administration for closed-end funds managed by clients.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Prepare period-end financial packages including investor statements for private equity funds
  • Coordinate and prepare capital commitments, calls and distribution calculations, carry/waterfall distributions, IRR, monthly management fees, and monthly performance returns including cumulative and compound annualized returns
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly consolidated/combined financial statements and all associated disclosures according to GAAP and IFRS with consolidation entries, elimination entries and other reclass entries
  • Interact with clients, auditors, and other third parties for a defined portfolio of funds
  • Review equity allocation with foreign currency dominated investment class
  • Work with investor relations on monthly subscription and redemption notices
  • Review and approve shareholder register and investor statements
  • Perform tasks with respect to closed-end fund accounting and financial reporting for platform enhancements and technology development
  • Assist with client on-boarding which includes, but not limited to, loading of client's tax lots, cash balance and trial balance onto the accounting platform
  • Coordinate the preparation and distribution of the investor capital statements

What You Bring
  • Strong knowledge of investment company accounting, partnership accounting, and investor capital allocations process
  • Strong financial reporting skills, including consolidation accounting
  • Previous experience with private equity accounting principles, including knowledge of investor accounting and waterfall structures.
  • Knowledge of securities and fixed income assets
  • Working knowledge of accounting systems (Geneva, VPM) and allocations (Investran)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or related degree/equivalent experience
  • 3-5years of fund accounting experience with financial statement preparation
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
