Creative Specialist, Design


Foundry is in search for a Creative Specialist, Design who will play a key role within the Customer Solutions, Design team. We are looking for someone who possesses technical, creative and sales skills to demo and implement our software products to clients and prospects around the globe. The role will require a substantial amount of travel (70%) and work onsite with our key partners.


    • Work internally with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to help execute our design strategy
    • Provide in-depth consultation and support to our global customers who are using/planning to use our Design software (Modo, Colorway)
    • Become a technical expert in the use of Foundry product portfolio (Modo, Colorway) for 3D painting, animation, rendering and 3D modelling
    • Provide technical presentations and software demos at trade shows and on customer site visits
    • Provide product development recommendations and technical data to Foundry’s Design product development teams
    • Act as a strong internal advocate for our customers ensuring feedback is communicated between sales and product engineering
    • Act as a voice for our customers offering feedback to our product development processes and the future of Modo, Colorway
    • Support clients onsite with software trainings/implementation (Modo, Colorway)
    • Attend company, customer and trade events to support sales goals and working relations with customers


    • B.S./M.S. in Animation, Visual Effects, Design or relevant fields, or demonstrating strong capabilities for key qualifications
    • Strong knowledge of 3D workflows, techniques, and applications. Must also have at least two years of production experience using Modo
    • Must be familiar with production techniques specifically related to Design or VFX using 2D and 3D software
    • Ability to learn new techniques and constantly expand software knowledge
    • Ability to support client training needs and software implementation for extended periods of time, on site
    • Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time
    • Strong oral and written communication skills addressing various groups of customers: technical, business, and/or project management
    • Passion for coaching, mentoring and teaching complex software solutions
    • Self-motivated, strong work ethic and ability to work independently
