Job Description

Gilead Sciences is looking for an Associate Director, Business Conduct Training focused on healthcare compliance within the pharmaceutical industry.  This person will manage and execute effective compliance training across all Gilead therapeutic areas and multiple departments. The focus of this role will be U.S.-based healthcare compliance training with global influence and collaboration, primarily in the following areas:

Specific Responsibilities and Skills

  • Oversee, design, and effectively deliver healthcare compliance training based on Gilead Business Conduct policies
  • Manage and provide strategic vision for Business Conduct training team
  • Educate and empower employees to be compliance champions
  • Provide ongoing training guidance to home-office and field-based employees
  • Work collaboratively with Business Conduct attorneys and members of the Business Conduct monitoring, policy, and transparency teams to ensure pull-through of compliance needs into annual training plan and curriculum
  • Train external consultants and vendors on Gilead policies
  • Explore and generate fun, innovative, and creative methods of training to enhance Gilead’s compliance-minded environment

Education & Experience

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal communication, facilitation, problem solving, decision making, and training skills
  • Proven leadership ability to manage and mentor a training team
  • Ability to collaborate successfully with internal partners and influence/advocate for training programs
  • Ability to effectively communicate in visual, oral, and written presentation forms
  • Ability to initiate and then, effectively manage projects to delivery with decreasing levels of supervision over time
  • Experience working and managing a set budget
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and various current training platforms
  • 8+ years prior industry experience preferred, with an emphasis on training
  • Previous healthcare compliance, legal, and/or pharmaceutical training experience a plus but not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
