Job Description

  • Provides project management support to multiple Discovery Project Teams.
  • Works in partnership with project leader to ensure timely, efficient, and effective meetings, and to ensure adequate progress on research activities between meetings.
  • Assists Discovery Project Leaders in coordinating team operations and communications.
  • Collaborates with the discovery team and functional areas to anticipate and identify project issues, which pose a challenge to achieving strategic goals.

Essential Duties and Job Functions:


  • Must be able to support multiple project teams simultaneously and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be well organized and have a strong attention to detail.
  • Should have an understanding of the applications, principles, concepts, practices, and standards of pharmaceutical project management and must have strong scientific background.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge and skill with Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel and other reporting and tracking tools.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  • BA or BS degree and minimum 6+ years of relevant experience, which includes 3 years’ experience as a project manager and/or pharmaceutical functional area scientist; or MS or MBA degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience consists of work in a scientific field or equivalent experience in association with R&D project teams and/or in cross-functional project management activities.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
