Proactively develop and manage pricing and reimbursement strategies and strong lifecycle management for our virology portfolio (line extensions, off-patent products, price revisions …) in order:

  • to achieve and maintain reimbursement conditions favorable for the patients and the group
  • to achieve and maintain fair prices for drugs of our portfolio

Specific focus in competitive intelligence, environment intelligence:

  • lead the monitoring of the environment, carrying out analysis of relevant national legislation in the sector and ensure its dissemination to the company and follow-up.

Job duties include:

The Market Access & Reimbursement Manager will be responsible for:

  • Pricing and reimbursement strategy:
  • Supporting the development and implementing the Market Access Strategy for Gilead product portfolio (including pricing and reimbursement) in his Therapeutic Area, in line with global and local requirements;
  • Developing and implementing the local Health Economics strategy in line with the global plan to provide perspective on effectiveness, costs and broader impact for new and existing products enabling decisions to be made by payers around resource allocation;
  • Participating to the development and implementation of a cross-functional strategy to promote the value propositions of Gilead’s current and future brands.
  • Pricing and reimbursement filing / negotiation:
  • Managing the development of reimbursement dossiers including health economics models (cost-effectiveness and budget impact);
  • Generating data or building on existing medical and epidemiological data to support negotiations with stakeholders in the reimbursement and pricing process;
  • Participating in the development of pricing proposals consistent with the global pricing strategy.
  • Key other activities
  • Developing valuable relationships with key pricing and reimbursement decision makers;
  • Participating in the development and implementation of stakeholder group advocacy as a tactic to drive pricing and reimbursement success;
  • Collaborating closely with local and international colleagues from Market access, Medical, Regulatory or Governmental affairs and Market Research, to ensure alignment on market access strategy;
  • Collaborating with in-field teams to develop local actions supporting regional access;
  • Monitoring the environment, carrying out analysis of relevant national legislation in the sector and ensure its dissemination to the company and follow-up.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  • Strong strategic thinker with ability to formulate and develop complex commercial strategy is a must.
  • Ability to objectively frame analyze and resolve trade-offs between projects.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills in order to lead, interact with, focus, resolve conflict and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of disciplines.
  • Strong presence with ability to command respect through exercise of sound business judgment and clear decision-making.
  • Good knowledge of pharmaceutical reimbursement and pricing issues, policies and trends in France

Minimum Experience of 2 years in a pharmaceutical company
Relevant experience and a Masters degree in sciences, economics, finance or related scientific field (or international equivalent)

PhD in sciences, economics, finance or related scientific field
