Director, Analytics

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with key stakeholders to understand their needs and desired outcomes for Analytics
  • Serve as product owner for multiple, large-scale analytics systems
  • Responsible for architecture of various analytics technology (e.g. SAS, R, Python etc)
  • Lead initiatives with key stakeholders to proactively identify, understand and prioritize opportunities to aid better decision making using analytics
  • Implement appropriate data governance, data quality and change management practices to ensure high-quality analytics
  • Manage and implement changes on systems in compliance with relevant change management procedures & policies
  • Collaborate with other analytics leads within the organization to ensure a unified approach
  • Oversee the ongoing support, maintenance and evolution of analytics solutions
  • Evaluate new technologies, practices and vendors that could increase analytical capabilities and/or efficiencies

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Data Science or a related field
  • Significant of experience in large-scale BI / Analytics solution delivery
  • Knowledge of cloud services (AWS) and implementing data science projects
  • Excellent people and communication skills
  • Ability to manage, prioritize and lead numerous projects simultaneously
  • Availability to work non-standard business hours regularly due to the global role
  • 10% Travel is required
