Clinical Comparators Strategy Manager

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced individual within Product or Medicine development in Consumer Healthcare based out of our Stevenage, Ware or Upper Providence site.

Job Purpose;
• Support and implement strategic direction set by Head of Comparators and TPS LT:
• Accountable for key objectives to deliver the comparators strategy refresh which may include:
o Development and implementation of new suppliers and vendors to enable agility and acceleration of GSK portfolio
o Define mechanisms for long term comparators forecasting across the portfolio
o Work with medicine development process owners to embed comparators planning, risk assessment and budgeting into core processes
o Development of TPS business to support business development medicine collaborations, and set up and management of new and active collaborations
• Development of comparators team Key Performance Indicators, and associated lead and lag metrics
• Development of/contribution to comparators team quality systems and processes
• Develop and provide stakeholder communications and presentations
• Interface with project teams to develop supply strategies for appropriate commercial marketed products to ensure GSK clinical trials meet their specified endpoints.
• Define and manage commercial marketed product (comparator) supply chains to include for one or more medicine portfolios (e.g. oncology, II, ID, respiratory, global health, HIV)
• Define budgetary requirements in preparation for governance
• Define and implement mechanisms for comparators forecasting across your portfolios
• Extensive network development and maintenance with external partners and suppliers
• May manage a line or matrix team

Why You?Basic qualifications:
Minimum BSc or equivalent in scientific discipline (Chemistry, formulation science, pharmacy) or APICS certification: CPIM (Certification in Production and Inventory Management)
Demonstrable experience working in medicine or product development in pharmaceutical, vaccines or consumer healthcare industry
Experience in CMC development, clinical supply chain planning/management, clinical trial design and execution, finance and/or procurement desirable
Change management and strategy execution experience desirable
