Finance Partner, Support Functions

We are searching for a Finance Director Central Functions, Pharma Supply Chain who can make a positive difference to the Pharma Supply Chain Finance team and GSK as a whole and who can inspire others to do the same. WHAT IS YOUR JOB PURPOSE?
You will provide finance and business leadership and council across the Pharma central functions (quality, technical, engineering, EHS, Communications, Early development, Strategy/network) and their leads (SVP Quality, VP's others) to ensure stretching financial objectives that balance short/long term objectives are set, delivered and accurately planned and forecasted for and adherence to compliance/ICFW requirements.

You will work with SVP PSC Finance and Corporate Finance to lead the financial planning, actuals & reporting for PSC Finance Functional budget.

WHAT ARE YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES?
• You will ensure compliance with internal control framework
• You will deliver of accurate monthly actuals process for the PSC Central Functions, Finance and other business groups
• This is a global Finance Partnering position; therefore, you must be able to work with Division and Corporate Finance Staff and must be able to work with people with different cultural skills and background. You must be able to work with all levels within the organization especially PSC Executive team members.
• You will ensure financial targets and objectives are communicated to leadership teams and understood by the business.
• You will provide management with clear, concise and meaningful analysis.
• You will identify and respond to immediate/imminent business issues.
• You will align financial plans with medium/long term strategic direction.
• You will develop close working relationships with key customers and work in partnership with site and above site finance teams across the business.
• you will facilitate the project approval process.
• You will support review of the Corporate functions embedded within PSC sites - working closely with Functional Finance partners to support understanding of actual results.
• You will have a high level of complexity due to the need to work with and influence various senior level managers within PSC.
• You will ensure all financial policies and processes are properly communicated and are consistently applied and adhered to.
• You will have direct reporting line management of one Finance Partner role (G7) and leading FLP placement (Sept-19 onwards)

Why You?Basic qualifications:
• Professional finance qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA or local equivalent)
• Significant PQE
• Understanding of GSK financial processes, how the PSC Supply Chains fits in as well as the specific performance management systems
• Experience of working in matrix teams with managing deliverables through indirect reports
• Ability to think at the enterprise level and capable of thinking beyond immediate area of responsibility
• Demonstrable track record of achievement and delivery to deadlines
• Able to effectively manage time and resources against agreed deadlines for activities for both self & wider team.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively build credibility with senior management and /or key stakeholders
• Works well both as a leader and team member, actively listens and is responsive to others
• Delivery of Operational Excellence/Process Improvement projects with tangible results
• Ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously and put plans in place to balance /prioritize conflicting demands
