Global Market Access and Healthcare Solutions Director

You will be an exceptional market access professional looking to enhance your above country skills or develop into a global role, and ready to take full accountability to develop the market access and pricing strategy for key GSK respiratory assets.

In this role, you will ensure that payer customer needs are represented within the respiratory inhaled asset team (either Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease - COPD, or Asthma) for strategy development, evidence generation and successful pricing and formulary listing decisions. This will be achieved through working with Franchise Local Operating Companies (LoCs) and the above country Regional and R&D teams. You will partner with the Medicines Commercial Lead (MCL) in developing pricing, reimbursement and market access strategies, and develop and deliver core payer materials to LOCs.

You will have experience of working in a payer relevant role, ideally with significant involvement in recently (within last 2-3 years) bringing a medicine through the reimbursement process and driving access and uptake in markets. Prior experience in the respiratory disease area and/or experience in payer customer business-to-business relationships and key account management would be an advantage but not a requirement.


As Global Market Access and Healthcare Solutions Director, you will be accountable for:

• Leading delivery of strategies and materials that support value demonstration to payer customers of our inhaled COPD products, thus resulting in access and driving uptake of our medicines at the national and local levels.
• Develop payer and provider insight, including payer and provider research, customer engagement and Advisory Panels
• Lead the GMAT (Global Market Access Team) by working with core LOCs (to challenge, support, consolidate, summarise) to understand the payer and provider questions
• Support MCL in making trade-offs between payer and provider evidence requirements from different core LOCs

Key Responsibilities:
• Represent payer and provider needs in Launch Excellence (LE) frameworks and liaise with franchise LOCs and regional market access to validate assumptions. Lead and deliver against the market access swim-lanes in LE
• Design global access strategy in line with the strategic plan for the asset
• Develop pricing and reimbursement strategy and value propositions for national and sub national payers, both public and private
• Work with Regional access teams and Finance team to ensure pricing executed to target / within strategy
• Identify non asset opportunities to enhance the value proposition for different payer segments
• Work with Value Evidence Outcomes (VEO) and Medical to make sure that the Integrated Evidence Plan (IEP) will deliver evidence to support payer customer needs
• Determine access and reimbursement assumptions and scenarios to input to forecast model, decision points, and portfolio strategy
• Support the MCL in preparing the overall Integrated Market Access Resource and market access tools to be used by LOCs as a basis for local submissions and payer activities
• Manage Market Access Director / internal rotational team members when applicable
• Represent payer and provider needs in Business Planning.

Why You?Basic qualifications:

Preferred qualifications:
• Post Graduate Degree level (e.g. MBA, MSc, PhD) or equivalent experience
• Areas of relevant experience: Payer marketing, Key Account Management, Pharma pricing, Health Economics, Public Health and Policy
• Experience of working in an above country role.
