Regional Category Manager, Marketing Procurement, Media & Content

In order to optimise spend across the marketing value chain in Europe, the Middle East and Africa we have a new requirement for a Regional Category Manager to join the team.

This role will lead the creation, execution and management of the comprehensive regional sourcing strategies for Media and Content in a number of sub-regions.

The regional strategy content developed will form a key component of global sourcing strategies for
global spend categories. As such the regional strategy will be developed in close collaboration with the
Global Category Leader to ensure full alignment of regional and global strategies and a comprehensive
approach to the management of the spend category.

Your Key Duties
• Leveraging deep Media and Content category and market expertise in EMEA, with strong focus on Total Cost of Ownership, including control of: Trading Costs, Digital costs, Agency fees, Media and Content Vendors pricing models, etc.
• Operating in a truly regional manner and in close collaboration with the Global Category Leader to develop holistic global strategies
• Utilising GSK and GSK Procurement policies, procedures, processes, systems and methodologies
• Engaging and building strategic relationships with key regional senior stakeholders and business partners in GSK
• Understanding the business requirements of key regional stakeholders and business partners and positioning the Procurement value proposition in EMEA
• Delivering the needs of key regional stakeholders and business partners through creation and execution of global sourcing strategies
• Identifying and delivering regional business benefits aligned to assurance of supply, quality, service, cost and innovation
• Ensuring financial value delivered is recognized by affected regional stakeholder communities and Finance groups, to allow benefit capture and transparent decision making on how benefits are allocated by business units, in line with the Spend Management Framework
• Creating and delivering effective regional budgets (Plans of Purchase) agreed with key stakeholders and Finance in accordance with the Spend Management Framework and aligned to the global budgets
• Leading, developing and managing the regional supply base for the in scope spend categories,
• Building and leading effective strategic relationships with key suppliers
• Driving sustainable value for GSK from key supplier relationships

Why You?Basic qualifications:
• Degree within appropriate subject - for example Business Administration/Finance/Marketing/Media/IT
• Relevant experience in procurement. Proven ability to create and implement sound sourcing strategies.
• Proven data analytics skills
• Proven negotiations and contract management skills.
• Minimum understanding of Digital Media
• English proficiency (written and oral), other language will be a plus
• Leadership/communication skills to interact with senior leaders in GSK and external partners

Preferred qualifications:
• Masters Degree within appropriate subject - for example Business Administration/Finance/Marketing/Media/IT
• Further Procurement qualification - for example CIPS, MCIPS, etc
