Respiratory Commercial Lead European Mid Size Markets

This role has a high-level mandate for Europe and is set to align and deliver GSK's Respiratory business in the European Mid Size Markets (EMC).

Key areas for this role will be:
• Unlocking profitable growth on a 1-5 year horizon in the context of a shared fit-for-purpose structure, strategy and execution.
• Optimising partnership with the EMC area team and the LOCs to deliver growth of Respiratory business through effective agreement and metrics.
• Partnering with Market Access team to deliver access and pricing strategies, sequence product registrations and launches to optimise GSK profitability.
• Provide an enterprise view and ensure access of GSK Respiratory medicines to patients.
• Drive the global medicines strategies and related content across EMC guided by the priorities set by the Area Head.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Support and challenge in developing a robust fit-for-purpose strategy. Ensure effective participation in performance reviews, clarify portfolio priorities for global Brand/Geography matrix through Green Table, determine focus for growth markets vs performance markets to maximize opportunities through prioritization of initiatives and contribute to shift mindset from "sales" to "profitability".
• Put in context promising opportunities and key risks. Support area to identify relevant learnings from other LOCs, such as around key competitors. Anticipate key issues with significant downside risk for the area and ensure relevant action plans are in place to address through LOC's or via commercial directors
• Ensure integrated delivery plans are in place. Agree concrete action plans, milestones and KPIs to support long-term success of prioritized strategic initiatives, especially new respiratory launches or defense strategies where our key respiratory brands are challenged by new competitors to the market.
• Focused two-way listening pipe. Key contact between LOC's and global teams to ensure Local respiratory teams understand medicine strategies enabling successful commercialization
• Set the objectives of the FML team, coaching, developing and setting the strategic direction
• Ensure LOC's through FML's are set up to fully execute the global strategies via effective transmission of strategy and follow up on performance in line with Green Table priorities
• Monitor and adjust. Accountable for tracking KPIs, monitoring deviations, realigning efforts and resources and escalating for action if necessary.

Why You?Basic qualifications:
• Degree level education in Business (Economics, Finance, Marketing, Commerce) and/or Life Sciences.
• Extensive business or commercial experience in life sciences or healthcare industry. (large LOC BUD or GM Level)
• Strong track record and experience in LOC and above-country commercial role and demonstrated success in leading projects to successful outcomes.
• Advanced understanding and experience of the commercial aspects of the respiratory pipeline, particularly from Proof of Concept (POC) to Life Cycle Management.
• Good knowledge of and established network in the GSK Global organization desirable.

Preferred qualifications:
• Post graduate studies in Business or Life Science related discipline.
• Ability to listen to customers (patients, payers, providers) and our LOCs to extract insights and drive decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to iterate between high-level strategic perspective and detailed operational implementation elements.
• Recognized leadership skills in direct and matrix environments, and ability to engage and align different parts of the organization towards efficient decision making, putting their accountability on the line when necessary.
• Demonstrated excellence in effective communications, influencing, and negotiation for a wide variety of audiences
• Strategic ability
