Supply Planner

We are currently looking for 4 Supply Planners. This is an opportunity to join the centralised planning team, where you will manage an assigned portfolio of Stock Keeping Units (SKU's) to ensure continued, smooth supply to the business at both optimum financials and compliant to GSK standards. Supporting our Consumer Goods unit, you will manage the capacity planning of your lines, acting as the key link between manufacturing, scheduling and in-market coordination. You will manage inventory and produce a workable plan with carefully balances stock to ensure appropriate but not excessive levels are consistently maintained to meet demand.
As well as the business as usual work, you will support the planning work related to key manufacturing projects including product transfers internally as well as to CMO's, packaging changes, value stream mapping and will contribute collaboratively to improve ways of working across supply chain.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Generation of supply plans with production sites to deliver stock to support sales forecasts.
• Ensuring on-time order placement aligned with contractual agreement.
• Liaison with market supply coordinators and Demand Planners to understand the forecasted requirements, NPIs and promotional activities, seasonality and manage supply to achieve and maintain high levels of customer service whilst meeting inventory targets.
• Proactively identifying key supply/demand imbalance, assessing risk, running root cause analysis, evaluating options and proposing solutions and ensuring corrective / preventive actions in place.
• Leading weekly review meetings with suppliers to ensure effective management of short/medium term supply period.
• Graph generation and providing data input to Supply planning manager on foreseen risks, subsequent risk mitigation and scenario planning.
• Optimising stock holding levels within the total supply chain through a detailed understanding of the key planning parameters and e2e process.
• Liaison with hubs master data team to provide input with the correct supply planning parameters set up of SKUs.
• Responsibility for the regular review, maintenance and improvement plan of basic supply planning parameters
• Coordinate with sites to ensure timely launches of new products launches (NPI), artwork changes or product transfers.

About You:
This position is a core part of the supply chain. Sitting between site, customer service, manufacturing and more, Supply Planning has visibility of the end to end process from raw material through to distribution and as such is an excellent opportunity to someone to really add depth to their career. This end to end involvement also means that you will need to be an excellent multi-tasker and able to manage multiple stakeholders flexibly and dynamically whilst maintaining calm under pressure. You will be naturally analytical and able to propose solutions and will be disciplined in your approach to delivery and detail. Your role will require focus and influence, to build and manage relationships across the whole supply process. Sometimes, you will need to be firm with your stakeholders and deal with challenging requests and as such you will need be resilient and consistent and able to take a flexible approach to prioritising tasks.

• Relevant degree qualification of commensurate experience in supply chain or similar areas
• Experience in a manufacturing planning function
• Demonstrable understanding of using planning parameters to make improvements to service and inventory
• High level Excel skills
• Hands on experience with SAP
• Hands on experience an ERP system

Preferred qualifications:
• Additional relevant qualifications
• Experience with MRP
• Experience with BPCS
• Experience in APO for demand planning
• Experience in a supply planning function within the FMCG or Pharmaceutical industries
• Demonstrable experience managing complex, multi-sources SKU portfolio
