Warehouse Supervisor

We are looking for a Warehouse Shift Supervisor to take responsibility for a team of Operators on shift ensuring that they are engaged, motivated and capable of maintaining an effective flow of materials throughout the warehouse.

This is a great opportunity for you to develop your leadership capabilities, run an operation and ensure that resources are deployed correctly in line with business strategy.

As part of this role you will interact with various departments including Planning, Production and Quality. Additionally, you will also be responsible for ensuring that we achieve the three zeros on Accidents, Defects and Waste.

The role is available on a 24/7 continuous shift basis - 2 days, 2 nights on then 6 days off.

About Maidenhead
Our Consumer Healthcare manufacturing centre in Maidenhead is one of the most advanced operations of its kind in the world. Dedicated to the production of Oral Healthcare brands such as Sensodyne, Aquafresh & Macleans we produce in excess of 1,000,000 tubes of toothpaste and bottles of Mouthwash per day for consumers across the globe.

Your duties in this role
• Full people leadership for a team of staff
• Responsible for coaching and personal development plans (PDP)
• Spend 70% of your time on the shop-floor
• Taking a continuous improvement mindset
• Setting performance targets and delivering against these
• Running GSK problem solving processes to avoid issue reoccurrence
• Ensuring the area returns to standard after a safety, quality or performance deviation or incident, in a controlled manner.
• Safety investigations and ensuring completion of resultant actions
• Process management by creating and confirming standards required to manage safety, quality, compliance and output.
• Ensuring food preparation to deliver a successful shift/batch/day

Why You?Basic qualifications:
• Have previously lead/supervised in a warehouse
• Experienced working in a fast-moving manufacturing environment
• Problem solving expertise, ideally using lean/six sigma techniques
• GCSEs in Mathematics and English or equivalent

Preferred qualifications:
• Qualified Fork Lift Truck Licence (Reach/Counterbalance) and Powered Pallet Truck
• Familiar with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Able to work to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirement
