We're now hiring for 2022 full-time roles. We're looking for final year students who are working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent), and due to complete their studies and be available for a full-time role commencing in January 2022.

About the role

As a Product Analyst you will be responsible for working closely with our product, quality assurance (QA), development, operations teams, and clients to define requirements and system design. The ideal candidate will be a multitasker with strong analytical and communication skills and is ready to be deeply involved in customer-facing engagements.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Working directly with the product development team to define product requirements and test plans to ensure they match client expectations
  • Documenting market requirements to support customer/operations workflow problems
  • Working closely with development and QA teams for incremental product builds
  • Engaging with the customer business, operations, technology, and QA teams to understand scope/challenges and communicate in a timely manner to the internal (IHS Markit) teams
  • Being aware of customer expectations and deliver accordingly
  • Executing implementation plans for multiple customers in parallel
  • Identifying client needs that may translate to potential product enhancements. Communicate the same internally in a timely manner
  • Conducting walkthroughs and demonstrations, as needed during the implementation cycle, for different internal/external teams to clarify product features, workflow, or other aspects of the product

What we're looking for

To be an ideal fit for the role, you should have:
  • A Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree (or equivalent) completed no later than December 2021
  • 0-6 months relevant work experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • An aptitude to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment
  • The ability to build strong working relationships in a collaborative setting
  • Be legally eligible to work for the duration of the program in the country for which you apply

For Product Analyst applicants, we recommend the following:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proven multi-tasker
  • Must be able to work effectively as part of a product team and foster team cooperation
  • Ability to articulate technology and product positioning to both a business and technical audience
  • Strong written and verbal communications with a strong aptitude for presenting thoughts and ideas to all levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong MS Excel skills, with markup language or understanding of relational databases a plus
  • Experience and familiarity with IHS products and data beneficial
