NGL Apprentice

Job Description

The NGL Apprentice will be a core member of the Midstream Oil & NGL (MONGL) team to provide support with research deliverables and assist with consulting assignments. The individual will work closely with MONGL team members to gain knowledge of the global NGL markets and business.

Job Duties
  • Collect, manage and analyze market data to track and identify trends in NGL markets
  • Maintain models and data sets that contribute towards research deliverables
  • Process map modeling procedures to identify gaps and improve modeling efficiency.
  • Conduct internal and external data searches to contribute towards research deliverables
  • Support other team members by producing quick-turnaround analysis, assist with consulting projects as needed and help create presentations for client interactions
  • Familiarize with research products and gain industry knowledge by interacting with other team members
  • Monitor and analyze regional news and events for use in the deliverables, and for internal market knowledge
  • Liaise with other teams to maintain and update models as necessary

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
    • Knowledge of MS applications required (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
    • Knowledge of R, Python, Tableau, PowerBI
    • Good oral and written communication skills
    • Previous experience in the energy sector is a plus
    • Must be flexible with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with other cross-functional teams
    • Organization skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, finance, or statistics
