The Sustainable Finance Team provides infrastructure solutions and services to support the growth of global environmental markets and sustainability reporting. We work with compliance and voluntary programs to add transparency and to promote participation in these markets. We also support and advise governments as they implement environmental strategies, particularly related to national commitments under the Paris Agreement. Our Team also build products to promote liquidity and realization of environmental results by interconnecting markets and reducing market friction. Our product suite includes the Environmental Registry, Auction Platform, Commodity Tracker Tool and ESG Reporting Repository.
The Operations Analyst/Associate role is of a critical nature. It has responsibility for the on-going integrity and operational support of our product suite. For our ESG Reporting Repository product, this includes client onboarding, client engagement and support services, review and authorization of user permissioning. data classification/tagging/mapping, review and authorization of data input by companies (according to defined processes), data quality control and assurance, and implementation of appropriate processes and controls.
This is an exciting opportunity for an eager and enthusiastic candidate to acquire knowledge in the ESG/sustainability and be involved in the design and implementation of the processes of our rapidly growing product. He/She will work closely with other functions within the firm - Product Management, Business Analysis, Technology, and Quality Assurance to contribute to our product suite roadmap and growth. He/She will be responsible for executing the operational procedures and processes in support of our ESG product.
Duties & accountabilities
- Provide first-line support services (telephone and email) to customers.
Support may require assistance to customers in their use of the system, entering
account information, entering/updating data and other related data
- Assist in the review of processes, operational procedures, workflows and documentation
requirements. Provide input and feedback in the design and on-going
revision of our processes.
- Development of appropriate training materials and presentations; conducting training for
- Establish and maintain relationships with key customers
- Participate in regularly occurring scheduled meetings with key clients
- Provide support on special projects which may include adding new ESG metrics to the
system or rolling out new product offerings
- Data analysis and mapping exercises; document tagging
Education & experience
- Bachelor's Degree; environmental science background is a plus
- Excellent computer skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Working in an operational environment with a focus on customer service and operational
process improvements - 1 to 3 years of experience
- Data analysis & mapping is a plus
- Exposure to and familiarity with ESG data and ESG reporting
- Energetic, self-motivated and pro-active team player
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail
- Client-service oriented
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
