Job Purpose (Job Summary)
Oversight of Client Finance Accounting and Projects for EMEA outsourced activity

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Serves as the Finance business partner for the Fund Services team; develops and maintains a positive and constructive relationship with outsourcedproviders of Fund services accounting.
  • Oversight of all accounting carried out by outsourced Fund Service providers including but not limited to:

- Ensuring the integrity of data between outsourced providers’ systems and
  Invesco’s Financial reporting systems
- Accounting for legacy and current Client money/Investor money under the UK
  and Irish regulatory regimes
- Assessing the accounting impacts of changes in products, fund services 
  processes and regulations, and ensuring that they are implemented in line with
  Invesco accounting policy by outsourced providers
- Implementation of new accounting standards with outsourced providers
- Serving as the finance lead on Fund Services projects where there are impacts
  to client accounting/client money
  • Participates in special projects as required by FCS Management including but not limited to strategic initiatives and software implementations
  • Ensures implementation and on-going compliance of procedures and controls in preparation for internal and external audits including compliance withSarbanes-Oxley controls
  • Actively promotes a continuous improvement culture within FCS and with external providers, working proactively to identify process improvements and efficiencies and manage implementation of changes
  • Uses critical thinking to perform root cause analysis of escalated issues and ensures appropriate and timely resolution of issues related to client finance accounts, which may include coordination with Record-to-Report End to End Lead and other FCS functions
  • Supports work transitions to offshore shared service center as required, including documentation of processes, training resources, and providing posttransition support.



Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • Previous work experience in client accounting; client money accounting
  • Experience in large software implementation projects
  • Extensive experience with technology solutions and project work
  • Experience in the Funds industry or broader Financial Services industry
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Oracle Financials or similar accounting system is an advantage

  • Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with a variety of individuals are required
  • The ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills and be proficient in reviewing financial data is required
  • Excellent problem-solving skills required
  • Ability to utilize computer equipment and software, specifically spreadsheet applications
  • Results oriented, problem solver with good business acumen
  • Well-organized person with drive to deliver results with limited oversight

Formal Education(minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • Qualified Accountant is a requirement
