The Project and Portfolio Management team of the Green Investment Group Limited is seeking a high performing Head of Waste and Bioenergy sector, at Director level to enable us to support the transition to a low carbon, sustainable global economy.
You will manage Green Investment Groups direct investments within this sector, to maximise value and optimise performance. This currently comprises 3 major projects, with further mandates for projects in the short-term pipeline. Most projects under management are in construction, although a number are approaching operations and one is in steady-state operations.
You will be experienced in advising on business strategy, implementing suitable governance controls, as well as managing our asset advisory function with 3rd party funds, involving a range of debt and equity investments, aimed at managing the asset performance and recommending key investment and contractual decisions.
To be successful in this role you will have a strong track record in the waste and bioenergy sector with a relevant university degree in environmental science, engineering or finance.
If you have detailed knowledge of contractual structures and subsidy regimes in renewable energy projects and financial documentation, with experience of non-recourse project finance structures and associated shareholder governance requirements, then this could be the ideal role for you!
This role is in Macquarie Capital, specifically within the Green Investment Group. Macquarie Capital provides advisory and capital raising services to corporate and government clients involved in public mergers and acquisitions, private treaty acquisitions and divestments, debt and equity fundraising and corporate restructuring. The Green Investment Group was acquired by Macquarie Group in 2017, creating one of Europe’s largest teams of dedicated green infrastructure investors. It is a specialist in green infrastructure principal investment, project delivery and portfolio management, and related services.
