Agricultural Development Executive - Jelf

Position Overview

We have a fantastic opportunity to work from our Northampton offices as a New Business Account Executive covering Northamptonshire and the surrounding regions. We are looking for an individual with a sales or account management background and who has experience of working or operating within the farming/agricultural industry.  This is the perfect role for an individual with a track record of generating new clients and who has the ability to build, grow and retain a large book of business.

This is a new position within our business and an exciting opportunity for an individual to help build our proposition, initially creating and executing a sales plan with the intention of growing the account in both revenue and client numbers. The role provides significant scope for long term career progression as the proposition builds and targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilise your persistent nature, farming industry knowledge and expertise to identify opportunities to generate new business
  • Use your already honed relationship building and stakeholder management skills to build and retain a book of farming and commercial insurance clients 
  • Apply your networking skills to develop a sustainable pipeline of new business covering a wide range of insurance products
  • Demonstrate your self-motivated and hardworking nature to meet and exceed set income targets
  • Drive quality, consistency and accuracy in all aspects of the sales process
  • Use your excellent communication and client handling abilities to ensure an outstanding client experience at all times

Skills & Experience

  • A demonstrable track record in generating new business
  • Knowledge and expertise of the farming and agricultural industry
  • Experience of successfully maintaining a client portfolio
  • Ability to cover a large region utilising your diary management skills to ensure you maximise your client reach
  • Strong team working ability in order to forge strong working relationships within the business to meet defined goals and targets
  • Ability to build a book of new business from scratch ensuring continued long term client satisfaction
  • Resilient with field sales and account management experience
