The purpose of this position is to be responsible to lead cross-LOB M&A transaction services business development and sales activities in the Private Equity Market in Europe, to serve as strategic deal advisor to clients planning or during transactions and to support the growth of the M&A business.
The role contributes to the financial success of the M&A business and EuroPac market overall. Manages client revenue levels by ensuring profitable client relationships are formed and maintained.
Defines and implements the long-term business strategy at the market level in alignment with global and regional strategy.Provides direction and focus, holds staff accountable, and drives engagement through frequent communication and dialogue.
Leads key client engagements and large, complex projects, directing the work of the project team, developing strategic solutions that address client needs and issues. Manages overall service delivery, clarifies and resolves unique and difficult issues related to client deliverables.
Generates revenue through acquisition of new clients, cross-selling to current clients and extending current client engagements. Establishes and maintains market contacts, interacts with financial and HR executives, C-suite members, and other members of the business community. Supports and drives sales efforts and revenue generation within the region.
Execute the Private Equity M&A (PEMA) sales strategy within defined markets in collaboration with market / client development and Marsh/Oliver Wyman:
- Establish and maintain appropriate market contacts to ensure awareness of market and client issues.
Interacts with Private Equity Firms as well as with Finance and HR executives, C-Suite members (i.e. CEO, COO, CFO) and other members of the business community.
Serve as senior strategic M&A advisor to the client during engagements to ensure the client"EURTMs business objectives are supported by people practices. Oversee the work of M&A project managers.
Contributes to initiatives within the M&A business as assigned; develop and share new M&A intellectual capital and marketing material; prepare periodic reports and analyses used to plan and manage the M&A consulting services business; assure personal and team compliance with M&A policies and procedures. Contribute to Mercer"EURTMs M&A market presense by writing articles, cases studies and general marketing material in addition to public speaking.
