Sr Account Director Business Development

Position Overview:

The incumbent in this role is responsible for leading Evidera's strategic business development functions throughout China and for positioning Evidera as a primary and/or preferred provider for Real-World Evidence, peri/post approval, Market Access, HEOR, and Patient-Centered Research studies. Qualifies deals and develops proposals including defining the solutions and recommending pricing structures to meet strategic company goals. Additional responsibilities include oversight of Evidera's brand presence in the life sciences community as well as the oversight and management of all financial aspects of new and existing client relationships to ensure corporate objectives for sales and profit are consistently achieved.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Orchestrates RFP strategy calls, develops client proposals, prepares client presentations, and negotiates and closes contracts. Signs new business authorizations at or above assigned authorization goal.

- Work effectively with scientific staff to develop long term, "trusted advisor" relationships with clients that result in positive sales

- Build positive, productive internal relationships and develop a partnered approach to sales which utilizes scientific subject matter expertise in combination with excellence in relationship building.

• Develop and implement effective selling initiatives.

- Create a clear, systematic approach to target market identification.

- Develop plans that reflect industry trends and client requirements and are commercially sound (top and bottom-line results).

- Cultivate new market opportunities and develop the support required to execute on such initiatives.

• Deliver on financial targets and stated results on a consistent basis

- Oversee the delivery of periodic and annual sales targets on an individual and team basis

- Develop a predictable pipeline of new and return business

- Collaborate internally to develop competitive pricing structures.

- Report on monthly and quarterly results; explain discrepancies and initiate strategies to mitigate risk

- Contribute positively to winning proposals and commercially sound contracts.

• Increase Evidera's presence with top tier as well as mid and small tier clients.

- Develop appropriate strategies to handle clients at each level

- Interact with internal and external stakeholders at senior levels to successfully promote Evidera's offerings and capabilities.

- Work with scientific staff to improve integrated selling and consulting

• Ensure internal and external compliance with all relevant ethical, regulatory, and legal standards.

Job Qualification:

Education, Professional Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in a healthcare or business-related field is strongly preferred.

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience leading a diverse group of Sales, Marketing and Business Development teams in the life sciences or pharma arena.

• Must present a professional record which supports sales success and adherence to ethical standards at the highest level.

• Must be able to clearly articulate Evidera's complete set of offerings to the marketplace.

• Successful track record at managing multilevel organizational dynamics.

• Experience with a commercial sales or lead tracking tool such as or other similar third party or proprietary product.

• Fluency in MS Excel and the ability to develop profitability and ROI models and reports

• Must have substantive experience preparing detailed sales projections and budgets

• Excellent presentation skills with strong ability to negotiate and influence a sale.

• Highly competent at organizing, managing and effectively communicating large amounts of information to a wide variety of audiences.

ADA Requirements:

• Normal and routine office duties.

• Up to 50% domestic and international travel is expected.
