Cloud System (Senior) Administrator

Working with minimal direction of senior staff, this position will provide program implementation, operational and maintenance support for our server environment. The goal of this position is to maintain a stable systems environment with minimal downtime and maximum performance, optimize existing services and systems, innovate.

The position scope includes performing all program implementation, monitoring, optimization, operation & support duties that are provided by the Infrastructure Services department. These services include major server OS support, Storage, Virtualization, Citrix, Data Center Facilities, Compute hardware platforms, Operations Management, Messaging and Cloud. We are currently looking for candidate with experience in Azure or AWS.


• System administration and monitoring, system tuning and optimization, security and presentation, capacity planning, license and maintenance management;
• Create and configure cloud-based environments and services
• Provides advanced system support for troubleshooting and maintenance of Cloud and on-premise resources;
• Provides specialized system support, such as, special projects, problem research, and/or specialized customer requests;
• Engineer innovative Cloud technology solutions, prepares appropriate project justifications and proposals for presentation to IT leadership for approval and implementation;
• Cross-trains and mentors new and existing employees;
• Serves as subject matter expert in Cloud core technology group;

Job Qualification:

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related area, or an equivalent combination of education, professional training and experience that provide the individual with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• 6+ years related experience or a combination of education, training and experience;
• Expert knowledge in Azure or AWS Cloud is essential for the position;
• Expert in Linux and/or Windows operating systems
• Advanced project management and communication skills with ability to act as a Project Manager;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;

Strong advantages:
• AWS Certification - AWS Solution Architect Associate/Professional
• Azure Certification - Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate/Solutions Architect Expert
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code approach and tools
• Experience in microservices architectures, containers or Docker
• PowerShell or other scripting experience would be considered as a strong advantage;
• Experience with Active Directory would be considered as an advantage;
• Other enterprise infrastructure platforms (Virtualization, Storage, Citrix, O365, MS Teams);
