Technical Development Associate Scientist or Scientist

Are you passionate about Biophysical Chemistry and looking for a meaningful role?  We seek a creative, highly motivated scientist with a background in Biophysical Chemistry to join the Pharmaceutical Development Department in US-Pharma Technology Development.

The Scientist/Associate Scientist will focus on three key areas: Particle analysis and investigation; Analytical ultracentrifugation (AUC); Innovation, charting new methods and techniques to advance science, create efficiencies, and improve processes.

The ideal candidate has direct experience with analytical ultracentrifugation and/or particle analysis as well as a general background in biophysical chemistry. For this position, the chosen individual would independently design, execute and analyze experiments and then interact and communicate their findings with a multidisciplinary group of scientists and engineers. This is a hands-on laboratory position with an abundant number of collaboration opportunities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in biophysical chemistry or related field 

  • Postdoctoral experience is preferred but not required.

  • A broad expertise in biophysical chemistry and/or particle analysis.

  • A proven track record of independently designing, executing and analyzing experiments including timely documentation.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Ability to contribute critical analysis beyond field of expertise in a scientifically diverse organization

  • Proficiency in lab work, willingness to follow through on deliverables and internal passion for scientific innovation are essential.

  • Experience in analytical ultracentrifugation and/or particle analysis strongly preferred.

  • Experience with biophysical chemistry techniques such as mass spectrometry, fluorescence, nuclear magnetic resonance, circular dichroism, infrared and Raman spectroscopy, etc. is a plus.

  • Experience in biologics pharmaceutical development, though not required, is a plus.
