Role Summary

As part of the DesignSpark Acquisition and Engagement team, you will be the promoter of the brand in Japan with your result-driven, knowledgeable and creative approach to Content and Inbound Marketing, Social Media and Outreach, excelling the brand's customer support and help acquiring and developing a thriving and engaged technology-led community. You will be developing and driving a social media strategy and programme aligned to the content and engagement programme and increase reach, acquisition, engagement and brand awareness. You will be responsible for the management of DesignSpark JP’s PR and online reputation as well as raise awareness with an internal communications programme. You will work closely with the RS Japan team to help build the profile of RS and DesignSpark in market as a leading electronics supplier and partner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Builds and executes the global content and engagement plan aligned to the DesignSpark strategy
  • Ensures high standard of content creation including increased video content creation, moderation and swift execution of content loading
  • Observes standards, policies and community behaviours being followed on the platform
  • Maintains and develops relationships with external bloggers and content providers in JP
  • Manages and coordinates translations of content including videos.
  • Manages and executes meaningful initiatives with focus on suppliers and NPIs including design challenges, competitions, webinars, podcasts and events / meetups to high standard
  • Develops and executes a social media programme on relevant channels aligned to the global social media strategy and local engagement programme with a focus on thought leadership in cutting-edge technology and new to market product introductions
  • Increases engagement and reach by developing relevant and rich content for regularly scheduled posts tailored for a target audience
  • Promotes brand-focused message for each channel understanding what type of content is optimal for which social media network
  • Monitors all social media channels and offers meaningful and constructive interaction with users in a timely manner
  • Attends and live reports on industry events (including live streaming, photography and interviewing)
  • Develops a PR and Internal Communications strategy for the DesignSpark brand working alongside the PR and Internal
  • Communications Teams and external agencies on joint initiatives to gain maximum exposure through PR channels
  • Manages and coordinates JP DesignSpark email marketing, reviews success factors to improve email ROI in close relationship with the Email Team
  • Develops email marketing in terms of onboarding and retention including monthly roundup
  • Supports the DesignSpark Manager JP with seminars, training sessions and event execution
  • Co-ordinates plans and activities with the RS Japan marketing and product teams, maintaining a consistent programme and voice to market
  • Creates regular performance reports for the DesignSpark Manager and Head of Acquisition and Engagement
