The Experts team is an innovative group of architects and specialists at the heart of our Marketing Cloud solutions. This talented team helps Salesforce customers and prospects develop and implement strategies to take their digital marketing efforts to an entirely new level. Through collaboration with the customer, the Marketing Cloud Product team, Professional Services, and Partners, Specialists develop unique solutions helping our customers connect with their customers in new ways. Role Description:
The Data and Personalization Specialist plays a pivotal role in aligning innovative digital marketing strategies for our customers across a multitude of industries. This role focuses on partnering with Marketing Cloud Solutions Engineering & Architect teams, to lend deep expertise during sales cycles. The Specialist will also partner with our Interaction Studio Account Executives to prioritize and identify opportunities for growth across the product’s key capabilities.

To this end, you will work with your SE counterparts to enable them on our data and personalization capabilities, ensuring the business has the tools it needs to win. You will be expected to professionally navigate conversations around the evolving programmatic landscape, as well as our overall data platform & personalization positioning to our clients. Fluency in how these play into the larger Salesforce Platform and Ecosystem will be paramount for success.
As a Data and Personalization Specialist within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, you will:

Solve Business Problems - Take ambiguous and complex business problems and, using research and business assessment capabilities, define the problem, drive innovative ideas, define the opportunity set, and recommend actionable next steps.

Drive Innovation - Bring rigor to a client’s decision making process by presenting and evaluating solution options, and driving consensus among key stakeholders. In some instances, we help our clients develop new decision frameworks and governance processes that continue to deliver value far beyond a particular engagement.

Connect the “Art of the Possible” - Assist Solutions Engineers with delivery of software demos, rapid prototyping, and storytelling to show how connected experiences come to life with the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Data & Personalization products. This includes the delivery of executive level software demonstrations, construction of future state customer journey strategies, and developing long-term IT roadmaps.

Cross Platform Collaboration- As a Specialist, you will take your understanding of multiple landscapes (AdTech, MarTech, CRM, Segmentation, Real-Time Decisioning, Personalization), and develop solutions across Salesforce’s technology stack to create the most robust & effective offering for prospective clients.

A Teaching Mindset- Our team is predicated on the idea of scale. You will be in constant search for multipliers, or opportunities to grow the impact of your knowledge across the team and organizations. Developing enablement content, working with your aligned teams on approaches, tinkering with our products, and running internal workshops are all examples of multipliers.

Your Impact:
“Solutioning” is fundamental to the specialist's role. It is important to realize that a component of the responsibilities will include assisting the customer, Account Executive and Professional Services team with the discovery, analysis and ultimately the recommendation of strategic solutions for the customer. These Solutions will leverage the Marketing Cloud technology to address the core marketing challenges and objectives that are uniquely identified for each customer.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in solutions engineering/solutions architecture/technical consulting role ideally in the SaaS space
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; dynamic (persuasive) in presenting ideas to clients and prospective clients from VP to C-level
  • Implementation or Operations experience within the AdTech Space (SSP, DSP, AdServers, Analytics & Attribution platforms)
  • Understanding & ability to articulate the interplay between Marketing, Advertising, and Customer relationship management
  • Experience with an ESP or Marketing Technology Platform

Preferred Requirements:

  • B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience And/ Or Basic understanding of web coding languages including but not limited to: Java, Javascript, Ruby, Go, Node, Python, Swift/Objective-C
  • Proven history (with examples) of situations where you’ve recognized that a solution was not a fit, but were able to pivot a client to a new solution to better suit their needs.
  • Demonstrated success driving change within client organizations
  • Past experience in organizational design consulting, process design and optimization, digital governance, and team dynamics a strong plus
  • Assisting the partner to assess fit of our solutions within the more global offering of the strategic partner
  • Analyze, structure, and negotiate long-term technology roadmap initiatives with clients and partners
  • Ability to understand, communicate and manage across the entire project lifecycle
  • Broad knowledge of technology trends and relevance to clients businesses
  • Proven experience leading strategy and digital roadmap projects in a complex business and marketing environment
  • Strong understanding of user research, user-centered design principles and online consumer behavior

For Colorado-based roles: Minimum annual salary of $110,740. You may also be entitled to receive incentive compensation, bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.
