At MuleSoft, the Industry Product Marketing team is responsible for creating the industry strategy across the company’s prioritized verticals. We are looking for an industry product marketing leader to design and execute our global strategy for our Financial Services vertical (FINS). MuleSoft is investing in Industries and you’ll be at the hub of the company-wide transformation and strategy.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Manage and grow a diverse and talented team of product marketers that owns the industry positioning within the FINS vertical

  • Define, lead and drive the global FINS industry strategy that focuses on the highest opportunity market segments and use cases across banking, insurance and wealth management

  • Develop and refine FINS messaging to be used by the broader marketing and sales organization

  • Partner with our product team to drive the development and launch of industry-specific products in support of our FINS industry strategy

  • Lead a cross-functional team across Marketing, Sales, Sales Enablement, and Alliances teams to execute the industry strategy for FINS

  • Be the thought leaders in the financial services industry at global conferences and for customer meetings

  • Establish executive relationships with strategic technology partners for FINS

  • Craft high-impact marketing assets and enable a global sales audience to help source and close pipeline

The ideal candidate for this role is an expert communicator who blends industry expertise and strategic acumen with the willingness to drive hands-on, tactical execution of product marketing activities.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 10-12+ years of experience working for or with FINS organizations in a marketing or consulting capacity

  • Demonstrated experience developing high-impact product positioning, messaging, and marketing assets

  • Keen interest in technology and basic familiarity with technical concepts (e.g. APIs)

  • A consistent track record of rapidly learning and mastering new skills

  • Creative and innovative thinking with a willingness to take risk, fail fast, iterate and learn

  • Demonstrated ability to work across functions, be a team player and thrive in a highly collaborative and matrixed environment

  • Strong public speaking skills and ability to develop compelling customer-facing presentations.

  • Be a player/coach- you are responsible for leading the team but willing and able to participate in all aspects of execution as needed

  • Be well versed in overall Financial Services challenges and trends, and have significant in-depth knowledge and experience in use of technology in Banking.

  • Proven experience in setting an effective marketing strategy, navigating ambiguity and competing priorities
