Are you an organizer with an artistic eye and a serious attention to detail that is passionate about high quality output? 

If so, we are looking for you to join the MuleSoft Training and Certification team! In this new role, you will lead the development and consistent implementation of style guides and templates across the entire training portfolio. This includes standards for grammar, punctuation, terminology, formatting, layouts, content structure, tone of voice, common content, and more.  You hold a critical role in our development and release process, and are a strong user advocate who believes in upholding the customer experience by only making available high quality materials and protecting the MuleSoft training and certification brand.

What you’ll achieve:

3 months:

  • Complete Salesforce and MuleSoft onboarding programs

  • Review the team’s existing style guides for instructor-led content, self-paced content, and certification exams 

  • Review the current templates used for the creation of training content 

  • Perform a comprehensive non-technical editorial review of the existing training content, and identify and prioritize content requiring editing

  • Start editing content identified for prioritization

  • Review existing style guides for MuleSoft documentation and marketing departments 

  • Review MuleSoft’s latest corporate templates

  • Identify and prioritize work for the development and implementation of next-generation content templates

12 months:

  • Take ownership and improve, augment, and maintain the training portfolio team’s style guides for instructor-led content, self-paced content, and certification exams

  • Work with MuleSoft’s creative team to update and/or develop new templates for slides, student manuals, datasheets, and more

  • Drive and enforce the consistent implementation of standards and templates by the team across the entire portfolio

  • Edit all new and existing portfolio content to ensure standards and templates are implemented in all materials 

  • Enable and work with contract editors to ensure entire portfolio is edited and standards are consistently applied and enforced

  • Collaborate with other MuleSoft departments to ensure cross-functional consistency in style guides, as much as possible

  • Drive definition and implementation of a consistent MuleSoft Training tone of voice for different types of deliverables

  • Edit self-paced content scripts

  • Perform the non-technical QA of all materials and sign-off on their release

  • Ensure consistency across different types of releases

  • Continually identify areas of improvement and implement changes to the QA and editorial process

  • Ramp on our portfolio development tools and processes and identify opportunities for improvements

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • 5+ years experience editing technical content

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Language fluency — strong English required

  • Outstanding attention to detail and a meticulous, thorough nature

  • A critical and artistic eye for effective and consistent content layout including placement, sizing, spacing, and more

  • An obsession with high quality output that takes pride in delivering such to our customers 

  • A love of lists and processes

  • Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget

  • Creative and innovative with a desire to continually improve processes

  • Independent self-starter with proven time management and prioritization skills in a dynamic environment

  • Strong team player with ability to successfully collaborate with geographically distributed teams

What would also be useful to have:

  • 2+ years editing technical training content for developers and/or architects

  • Experience with ASCIDocs 

  • People management experience and skills
