We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to help us build functional systems to support MuleSoft’s global training operations in a heterogeneous environment.

The Training & Certification team is actively working on improving the current application landscape and infrastructure. You will be instrumental in migrating legacy infrastructure and applications to a fully AWS-hosted environment while using modern technologies such as Kuberentes and Docker. Implementing and deploying infrastructure components and applications must be automated as much as possible according to infrastructure-as-code principles.

Responsibilities include -but not limited to:

  • Designing and implementing high-performance and reliable infrastructure solutions on AWS.

  • Automating daily operation tasks.

  • Identifying training course production issues.

  • Implementing solutions that meet customer needs.

Ultimately, you will execute and automate operational processes fast, accurately, and securely.

DevOps engineer with a strong affinity for Kubernetes and AWS. 

This role focuses on the development of course applications that are used with Anypoint platform courses. The DevOps engineer will maintain and develop software using various programming languages or platforms, such as Java, Go(lang), Bash, and Mule. Practical experience with AWS and infrastructure-as-code is required.

Must be willing to develop a broad understanding of MuleSoft’s own product suite and development platform. Training, mentoring, and support will be provided by team members.


  • Analyze current technology utilized within the department and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them.

  • Maintain and improve AWS based infrastructure.

  • Maintain and improve Kubernetes clusters on AWS (EKS).

  • Maintain and develop custom-built applications (Java, Golang, Mule).

  • Create optimized Docker containers to “lift and ship” legacy applications.

  • Improve systems monitoring and alerting

  • Evaluate and set up Configuration Management tools.

  • Automate provisioning of infrastructure components (infrastructure-as-code), preferably using Terraform.

  • Automate deployment of applications/containers (CI/CD).

  • Document existing and future infrastructure, systems, and applications.

  • Automate common tasks using scripting languages such as Bash and/or Python.


  • Work experience as a DevOps engineer, Sysadmin, or similar engineering role.

  • Demonstrated experience building AWS-based infrastructures.

  • Experience designing and implementing Kubernetes clusters.

  • Experience building and deploying containerized applications.

  • Familiarity with version control systems and continuous integration/continuous delivery concepts.

  • Basic understanding of Enterprise Integration concepts and technologies, preferably MuleSoft.

  • Practical experience developing software applications (preferably Java, Golang).

  • Experience working in geographically distributed teams
